HONORS / HIGHLIGHTS at Loyola, San Jose St. and Chaffey:
1947 Played freshmen season at Loyola University, Los Angeles.
Joined Paratroopers with AHS teammate Roy Langley; did jump training in Japan.
Played football for the 188th parachute infantry and made the
ground force all star team as a running back.
Played in the Rice Bowl on New Years Day, 1948 in Tokyo, Japan.
Recruited to play at West Point after game.
1949 Played football at Chafee College for George Hobbs, was all conference.
Earned scholarship at San Jose State University, played with future all pro
Billy Wilson and legendary coach Bill Walsh.
Worked in construction for a career.
