Stu Spencer


Stu played football and graduated from AHS in 1945. Immediately after graduation, he served in the Navy. He then attended East Los Angeles College and graduated in 1949. He went on to Cal State Los Angeles and graduated in 1951 with a major in Sociology. 

He was the director of Parks & Recreation for the City of Alhambra from 1951-1958, and was instrumental in the development of Almansor Park, starting with the gymnasium, baseball fields and the first 9 holes of the Golf Course.   

He started Spencer-Roberts and Associates, a political management firm in 1960 and was involved in over 400 campaigns around the world over the next 50 years. His most prominent clients include Ronald Reagan, Gerald Ford and Nelson Rockefeller.
