Cross Country, Track & Field

HONORS / HIGHLIGHTS at AHS:
Four-year Letterman in both cross-country and track.
Two-time MVP of the cross-country team.
Ran a 4:22 mile as a freshmen at AHS.
1965 Anchored the Moors’ relay team to a school-record time of 3:22.51.
Placed second in the 1320-year run at the CIF finals.

SPORTS PLAYED in COLLEGE at EAST LOS ANGELES COLLEGE:
Cross Country

HONORS / HIGHLIGHTS at EAST LOS ANGELES COLLEGE:
Earned two Letters in both cross-country and track at East Los Angeles College.
Ran a 4:15 mile in the California Community College Semifinals.
Ran the third leg for the two-mile relay team at ELAC that broke the national community college record.

PROFESSIONAL TEAM HONORS / HIGHLIGHTS:
Served at a U.S. Army helicopter crew chief in Vietnam in 1967-68.
