HONORS / HIGHLIGHTS at AHS:
Two-year Varsity Letterman.
1972 Pacific League runner up in cross country, team reached CIF Finals.
Pacific League champion in 2 mile, personal best of 4:31 in the mile and 9:27 in 2 mile.
Earned Scholarship to CSU Los Angeles.

HONORS / HIGHLIGHTS at CSU Los Angeles:
Lettered in Cross Country and Track all 4 years.
Sophomore year, won CCAA Championship in the mile, qualified for NCAA D1 at BYU in the 3 mile.
Junior year, ran third in conference in Cross Country.
Placed 15th in NCAA D2 Nationals and was named All American.
In Track, placed 1st in the 5,000 meters and 2nd in the 10,000 meters in the CCAA Champiuonship.
Placed 4th in the NCAA Div.2 meet in the 5,000 and was named All American.
Senior year, was Co-Captain for the Track team which placed 3rd in Nationals as a team.
Was CCAA champion in both 5,000 and was named All American.
CSULA record holder in 10,000 meters (29:26.8 in 1977).
Third all time in 3,000 meters (8:17.9 in 1976).
Fourth all time in 5,000 meters (14:17.6 in 1977).
Sixth all time in the marathon (2:37:44 in 1976).
Eighth all time in 1,500 meters (3:50.6 in 1977).
CCAA Champion 4 times and AllAmerican 3 times.

PROFESSIONAL TEAM HONORS / HIGHLIGHTS:
Upon graduation, ran for Santa Monica Track Club and a track club in
Stockholm, Sweden the summer after senior year.
Also coached at CSULA for a few years.
