HONORS / HIGHLIGHTS at AHS:
Coached and taught Physical Education at AHS from 1969 to 1972: "B" & "C" Track and Freshman Basketball.

HONORS / HIGHLIGHTS at PCC, San Jose St., CS Long Beach, UTEP, & Riverside CC:

1972-1981 Track Coach at PCC, SJ St., CSLB, and UTEP.
1984-1992 Track Coach at Riverside Community College.
At UTEP, Banks coached 17 NCAA Championships (6 Cross Country, 6 Indoor & 5 Outdoor),
27 WAC Championships, 47 NCAA  individual championships, and 189 All Americans.
Coached UTEP to Track Triple Crowns in 1979-80 and 1980-81.

PROFESSIONAL HONORS / HIGHLIGHTS

Published two books, "How To Teach Track & Field" and "Over the Hill and Dale".
Past National Director of Running Promotions of Converse,
developed Converse's first line of track & field shoes.
Coached Riverside CC to 6 State and 12 Conference Championships.
Inducted into UTEP Athletics Hall of Fame in 2002.
Inducted into USTFCCCA Hall of Fame in 2000.
Inducted into Riverside CC Athletics Hall of Fame in 2008.
Inducted into UTEP Track Hall of Fame in 1993.
Inducted into UTEP Hall of Fame for Coaching in 1981.
